Course Description
The five talks cover male breast imaging, the evaluation, and appropriate BI-RADS classification of benign and malignant breast calcifications and discussion of the distribution classification of calcifications incorporating the positive predictive value for malignancy. An in-depth discussion of asymmetry, global asymmetry, focal asymmetry, and growing asymmetry with evaluation,
appropriate BI-RADS classification, and treatment is provided. Also, a suggested algorithm for the mammogram and ultrasound breast mass work-up with suggested BI-RADS category is provided with detailed classic and current peer-review journal article correlation. Lectures are to improve one's basic mammography and ultrasound evaluation of common breast imaging findings of the female and male breast and introduce new concepts, current journal articles and algorithms to appropriately care for breast patients with abnormal mammogram findings.
